Pine Tree Day Nursery was established in 1963 as a New York State licensed childcare center by Mrs. Gene Murkel. Mrs. Murkel had such a love for children that she had 9 of her own. In 1983 Michele Carr, newly pregnant and excited to become a mother purchased the business then in its 19th year of operation while she was looking for childcare for herself. Lastly, her son Ryan Carr, after growing up around the family business decided to pursue his studies in Childhood education. During that time he met his wife Danielle Carr whom was also pursuing a career in Childhood education. With their strong background in childhood education as well as being parents to four children, the two have been able to implement their knowledge and passion that has allowed them to continue to grow the center into what it is today.

We are more than just a child care service we are an early learning center proving your child with the early learning foundation they need to succeed. At Pine Tree we provide developmentally appropriate classes where children will learn through play and exploration. In addition we pride ourself in offering enrichment classes from Yoga, Dance, Music, Art, Spanish and community based onsite enrichment activities that bring the learning to your child with no additional cost.
